Fanshawe Head Start: St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus

Head Start is all about you. Since you're a new student starting your first college program at the St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus, we want to help make your transition here as seamless as can be. It's your opportunity to meet your classmates and faculty, to learn more about our campus and community, as well as a chance to take care of some of the items you need to complete before the start of school. We would also love to see you if you are thinking about attending the St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus in September 2019 or January 2020 but haven't yet applied. Our Student Success Advisor will be on site to discuss any admissions or program related questions you may have.

What can I expect at Head Start?

• "Meet and greet" your program coordinator and classmates

• Take a campus tour

• Learn about financing your education

• Get academic tips and tricks from your Student Success Advisor

• Complete the WRIT Assessment

Parents and supporters are welcome to join you for the day.

8:30 a.m. - Event registration and refreshments
9 a.m. - Welcome from Associate Dean and Presentations
10 - 11:30 a.m. - Program Overviews/FOL
10:30 a.m. - Service Fair
12 p.m. - Pizza Lunch
1 p.m. - WRIT Assessment

Before you come:

If you previously had an IEP or a documented disaibility, complete your Early ID before attending Head Start. This will help you during your time as a student, but may also provide support while you write your WRIT assessment during Head Start.

If your program is not listed when you register, make sure you are registering for the right day.
